Summary
Formal terraced gardens and water gardens designed by Inigo Thomas and created after 1910. The gardens comprise a series of formal areas related to the house and a 150m long canal or moat situated to the east of the house and orientated north-south. The gardens were extended southwards in 1919 to include part of the stream and the creation of a bog garden to the south, with a ha-ha and moat beyond. The house and grounds were turned into the Dorset Police Training College in the 1950s.

Full Description
Early C20 formal terraced and water gardens, c.1/2ha. The gardens were created post-1910 by Inigo Thomas, and extended southwards 1919, and comprise a series of formal areas related to the house and the canal, or moat, which extends north south for 150m c.60m east of the house. Post 1919 development of stream and bog garden to south, with ha ha and moat beyond. [Full topographical description] LISTED GRADE II*.
