Full Description

A single linear ditch oriented roughly N-S was recorded during a watching brief undertaken by Poole Museums Service during construction of Bearwood Primary School in 1993. This ditch had a U-shaped profile and was filled with brown silty loam and contained two sherds of Romano-British coarseware pottery. A further section of this ditch had been recorded in the previous evaluation excavation by Wessex Archaeology in 1992 but no dating evidence had been recovered. (1) (2) (3)
