Summary
Four shallow pits thought to represent ad hoc clay extraction. A limestone wall of Medieval date also observed. A single post hole observed. A substantial E-W aligned ditch Saxo-Norman, later re-cut.

Four shallow pits thought to represent ad hoc clay extraction. A limestone wall of Medieval date also observed. A single post hole observed.
The is some suggestion within the documentary evidence presented with the report that Portesham may have been a Minster.
An East-West aligned ditch contained Saxo-Norman pottery.
Soakaway trench. In its original format was moderately sloping with a rounded base. A later, central recut contained 13th century pottery.(1;2)
