Summary
Evaluation trenching noted possible Iron Age/Romano-British field system, a possible Bronze Age ring ditch and more recent post-medieval relict field system components. Finds dating from Mesolithic to Post-Medieval horizons were recovered from topsoil and subsoil horizons.

Evaluation trenching noted possible Iron Age / Romano-British field system, a possible Bronze Age ring ditch and more recent Post-Medieval relict field system components. Finds dating from Mesolithic to Post-Medieval horizons were recovered from topsoil and subsoil horizons.
A total of 66 a archaeological features were recorded, though only 10 of these contained datable pottery.
A palaeo-channel was found to contain pottery from the Early-Middle Iron Age.(1)
