Abstract/Summary

Brief catalogue of archaeological works carried out on Roman sites in Britain during 1986. This includes a summary of discoveries in Dorchester, reproduced here in full: (3) Dorchester (Durnovaria): Colliton Park (SY 693908): excavations close to County Hall revealed a sequence of boundary ditches and pits followed by traces of a building marked by post-holes; later a part-masonry, part-timber building occupied the site with a sequence of N-S boundaries and a gravelled N-S street.
