Abstract/Summary
Observations and recording by 'Terrain Archaeology during the repair of a drain on the edge of the Corfe Hills Roman road, Poole. A trench to locate the blocked pipe was dug along the edge of the road agger, revealing that most of the area exposed was disturbed by drains and service trenches. The edge of the road appears to have been disturbed in the later 20th century, but a small portion of the agger base and buried soil layer below survived. No trace of a roadside ditch was found.
