Abstract/Summary
A largely desk-based archaeology and cultural heritage assessment of a proposed quarry extension was carried out in relation to a planning application. The area covered apx 21.1 ha of arable, woodland and infilled former quarry. There were no Scheduled Monuments or Listed Buildings in the area of the extension. There were historically important hedgerows in the area and one scheduled monument, a barrow, within the broader study area. This was the item of most archaeological significance. There was moderately low potential for the presence of unrecorded archaeological remains within the extension area.
