Abstract/Summary

The evaluation of a proposed development in the grounds of Heathcote House, Icen Way, Dorchester, was carried out in August 1991. Two trenches running NW-SE were excavated by machine, comprising a 1.6% sample of the proposed development. The density of features was low, the majority being post-medieval in date; one contained a single sherd of medieval pottery, and one; a single sherd of Romano-British pottery
