Full Description
The remains of a stone wall were found in Test Pit 3 during archaeological evaluation of the grounds of Shaftesbury Museum by AC archaeology in 2008. The wall was aligned roughly N-S and comprise Greensand rubble and flint bonded with pale brown clay. It ran over the top of a probable medieval pit and has been interpreted as the robbed remains of the footings of a late medieval structure. (1)
