Monument record MDO804 - Stone structure of unknown date at Burton Pumping Station, Charminster

Please read our .

Summary

Removal of topsoil in the plot to the south of Burton Pumping Station revealed a scatter of prehistoric worked flint. During excavation ofa pipe trench at the site, two large isolated rocks were exposed: their size and weathered appearance, and their association with prehistoric worked flint, may suggest that they formed part of an artificial structure.
