Full Description

16 Iron Age features comprising one short section of ditch, four pits (and five charcoal pits see WX3516), four scoops and three postholes. 51 Roman features comprising five linears, 14 pits (and 30 charcoal pits) and 12 post holes. Linear features followed the field system alignment noted in previous years (WX3565). In the SE corner of the field a length of sub circular ditch, and a second ditch without dating material on a similar alignment, may represent an enclosure centred on what is now Swineham Farm. Pits likely to be associated with small scale industrial activity (1)
